Dr. Berisha was raised in the Bronx, NY, after immigrating with his family at a young age. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from NYU College of Dentistry and went on to complete advanced training through a General Practice Residency at North Shore University Hospital.
In the early 2020s, Dr. Berisha and his family relocated to Fairfield County to be closer to loved ones and embrace a more community-focused lifestyle. That move inspired his commitment to serving local families—making Monroe Smiles a natural home for his values and vision.
Known for his warm demeanor and attention to detail, Dr. Berisha believes that trust is built through empathy, communication, and clinical excellence. His goal is to create a calm, comfortable experience for every patient and to ensure each visit feels personal, informative, and empowering.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Berisha enjoys staying active at the gym and spending time with his two Shih Tzus—Cannoli and Tortellini—who keep him on his toes.

Dr. Kwon is a native of Seoul Korea, raised in Vancouver, Canada. Dr. Kwon completed his training at prestigious Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Kwon stayed in the Boston area to work with leading specialists to deliver the highest form of care, where he was selected one of Boston’s Top Dentists in 2019.
Dr. Kwon is very caring and treats his patients with compassion and gentle care. He and his knowledgeable, experienced team provide comprehensive treatment in a friendly, relaxed, and comfortable setting. They will ensure that you receive nothing less than the best dental care. Dr. Kwon is certified and highly trained in esthetic dentistry and implantology. He spends most of his time on continuing education to bring world-class dentistry to his patients as he travels to connect and learn from leading specialists internationally.
Outside of his profession, Dr. Kwon and his wife enjoy traveling, cooking, and hunting for good food spots along the shoreline.
